Become a Preceptor
The ATM Midwifery Training Program is required by Texas law to retain records on preceptors and course instructors.
Preceptors must meet minimum experience requirements:
A midwife (LM, CPM, or CNM) with a minimum of 1.5 years of continuous practice and 50 primary births since licensure, with 10 of those being continuity of care.
OR
A midwife (LM, CPM, or CNM) with a minimum of 3 years of continuous practice and at least 25 primary births since licensure, with 10 of those being continuity of care.

Application Process
Complete the online application and be prepared to submit the following forms & documents:
Preceptor Application Form (online form)
Signed Preceptor Agreement
Copy of current Midwifery License
Copy of your Resume or CV
Proof of CPM status (if applicable)
Proof of CPR for Health Care Providers and Neonatal Resuscitation Certification
Proof of ATM Associate or Lifetime Membership (you will find a membership certificate in your membership portal)

**NOTE** Until you are “active” in Typhon none of the clinical experiences with any students will count towards their graduation hours.
